Emma Taylor is an NCTJ qualified journalist and copywriter based in South East London.
She started out working in the world of ATL marketing; producing national press ads, advertorial copy and spearheading creative direction on printed collateral for one of the biggest travel groups in the world.
After an inevitable quarter-life crisis, she moved from Surrey to the Austrian Alps. Here, she was baptised in the hell-fires of winter tourism operations and carved out a niche being the ‘go to gal’ for content curation. Emma then politely forced her way onto TUI’s UK content team for the summer as an assistant editor. Her love of writing snowballed (ha!) as she researched and wrote features for both print and web. Once back in the mountains she was officially programme champion for content, particularly collecting and editing on-the-ground-expertise for the Ski Explorer app. Emma came back to the UK and immediately started freelance copywriting for an eCommerce start-up, an ethical clothing brand and Ann Summers (yes, that Ann Summers).
As well as appearing as a talking head on Channel 5's "Inside Tiffany's: World's Most Famous Jewellers" TV documentary, Emma has bylines on Business Insider, Insider, PopSugar, Metro, Glorious, Onthesnow, Debut, Style Altitude, BN1 Magazine, Brighton Fringe and the Brighton and Hove Independent. Her full portfolio with everything tipped in can be found here. She primarily writes about travel, food, and general lifestyle.
Emma Taylor is very conscious of typing this in the third-person and suffers from the very English ailment of practically fainting from embarrassment when it comes to blowing her own trumpet.
